"For Billie, a Halloween parade is not as exciting as following a mysterious running doll. While helping the creature causes more trouble than expected, Billie is undeterred from her quest of trying to fix it. "
THE CARNIVAL STREET is a story created as a comic/storyboard and follows something close to dream logic.
The aesthetic of the characters is directly based on the Edwardian era, British turn of the century right before WW1 and the postcards from said time.

ABOUT
|
I'm Luisa Cruz, a storyboard artist, animator and illustrator from Colombia working on animation with 7 years of experience in animation industry , 2 in visual development, and 6 in storyboarding, focusing my career in storyboarding and visual narrative.
I am a graduate from the National University of Colombia in BA in Fine Arts and from the Bristol School of Animation with an MA in Animation, in the UK. As a freelance artist I have worked in diverse projects, mainly on animation for children, animated series, and also collaborating on the visual development on short and feature films. I also have experience in other parts of the animation process such as visual development, character layout and background painting. I've had the opportunity to be part of the Toon Boon Ambassador Program in 2020 and 2022 and part of the Portfolio Domestika Talento Joven Colombia 2020. I am a big storytelling and animation enthusiast and I try to keep to day with the latest series, shorts and projects, but I enjoy various other arts as well as physical activity! that's why I've been practicing Taekwondo for 12 years, and also practicing classical ballet for the last 4 . |
